Location: Hole Bottom, BD23 5DL
Distance: From Hebden, 0.8 miles
This waterfall just up from Hebden is a great little addition to a walk in this area. Walking up alongside the river from Burnsall, this detour can be reached by crossing the suspension bridge and heading up through the fields to Hebden. Once in Hebden you cross over the main road and follow Hebden Beck or the road up to Hole Bottom. Just before the hamlet the footpath veers off right, down a steep hill and the waterfall is in the bottom. When we went there had been a landslip so the route was blocked but I could get close enough with a bit of scrambling.
The area around here is lovely and no visit to Hebden would be complete without a stop off at The Old School Tearooms in the village.
